A BALLYNAHINCH TOWN EVENT
12.00 - 5.00 Saturday 24th September

Over the period of the Fair and the week before it Ballynahinch one of NI's best loved market and shopping towns will embrace a harvest theme with most of the shops and businesses entering the Harvest Window theme which was so successful in 2014. Many of the pubs & restaurants will have special programmes and several of the shops special bargains - so a visit to the town and festival is recommended.

The Town Centre will also have a programme of entertainment on the Saturday 24th September from 12.00 - 5.00 https://www.facebook.com/DownFestivals including a re-enactment of the Battle of Ballynahinch in the actual streets where the Battle took place in 1798. This re-enactment has the support of the Ulster Scots Agency.

Council
Newry, Mourne and Down Chair Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick and Councillors Billy Walker and Mark Murnin and 'Betsy Gray' get into the spirit of the 1798 Rebellion in the historic Ballynahinch Town Square which at 12.00 noon Saturday will feature the re-enactment of the battle.

Stand off
The Councillors and 'Betsy Gray' putting up stout resistance to General Munro's troops.

A FREE SHUTTLE BUS will then be available to take spectators to the Game Fair at Montalto Estate for further living history drama and action.
