The Ballynahinch Game and Harvest Festival - a unique 'Country Comes to Town' twin locus event - based on the historic market town of Ballynahinch.

The Festival at Montalto organised by the Great Game Fairs of Ireland team combines all of the attractions of the game fairs with facets of fine country living.

Over the period of the Fair and the week before it Ballynahinch one of NI's best loved market and shopping towns will embrace a harvest theme
with most of the shops and businesses entering the Harvest Window theme which was so successful in 2014. Many of the pubs & restaurants will
have special programmes and several of the shops special bargains - so a visit to the town and festival is recommended.
The Town Centre will also have a programme of entertainment on the Saturday 24th September from 12.00 - 5.00 https://www.facebook.com/DownFestivals
including a re-enactment of the Battle of Ballynahinch in the actual streets where the Battle took place in 1798. This re-enactment has the
support of the Ulster Scots Agency.
Newry, Mourne and Down Chair Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick and Councillors Billy Walker and Mark Murnin and 'Betsy Gray' get into the spirit
of the 1798 Rebellion in the historic Ballynahinch Town Square which at 12.00 noon Saturday will feature the re-enactment of the battle.
The Councillors and 'Betsy Gray' putting up stout resistance to General Munro's troops.
A FREE SHUTTLE BUS will then be available to take spectators to the Game Fair at Montalto Estate for further living history drama and action.
